Located just off the M25 motorway at Junction 30/31, our Purfleet facility is Tennants newest distribution depot opened in 1997 and with easy access via the M25 (M1, M2, M3, M4, M11, M20, M23, M26 and M40) to customers in London, the South East, central South and East Anglia.
The depot has 12 x 316 stainless steel tanks of 60 M3 capacity each for storing flammable chemicals (including solvents) and 6 x 40 M3 capacity self-bunded plastic tanks and 1 x 40 M3 stainless steel tank for storing acids and alkalis and "state of the art" semi-automatic pack filling facilities.
This depot has its own fire-fighting capability and via a substantial water ring-main can deliver over 7 tonnes per minute of water throughout the site to fixed fire monitors for tank and pack cooling and fire suppression from our own reservoirs holding over 2 million litres (2000 tonnes) of water.
Deliveries are made using our own fleet of rigid body and articulated lorries and two vans backed up by approved outside haulage contractors when needed. All our drivers are ADR trained and approved in the carriage and handling of hazardous materials.
