An organic wax mixed with detergent to create an emulsifier commonly used in cosmetics, moisturisers and pharmaceuticals.

Emulsifying waxes have an organic source, but are treated so they can be used in cosmetics and moisturisers. The base is extracted from fatty acids and plant oils (sometimes called vegetable wax). This wax is then mixed with a detergent, and it becomes an emulsifier.
