Potassium Silicate, K2SiO3, is a family of compounds with varying amounts of water, all highly alkaline.

Typical Uses

  • Binding agent, dust-binding agent, flame retardant, flotation agent, stabiliser, viscosity control agent, in horticulture used to make the growing agent more alkaline, low-cost way of rendering wood work.

  • Solutions covering a range of SiO2 concentrations and Potassium:Silicate ratios are available.
